I maybe barking up the wrong tree here but...

We have a master server [With a L180 attached] and a media server [With a
L60 attached].
We have one scratchpool on the master server which controls tapes for both
the L180/L60.
We regularly share media I.E Write it on the L180 and move it to the L60.
The media can only exist in 1 storage group at a time.

You can NOT share media between servers for writing purposes.
Each server is the owner of the media and no other server may write to its
media.
But, restores can be allowed use another media server's media.

I am trying to create two backup policies, each policy using a different
media server configured for sso. Both policies using the same volume pool. I
am keeping only 1 tape in this pool and starting the policies one by one to
ensure that both the Drive and tape is available. The first policy runs
successfull, but the second policy gives error 96.

Can I share a tape between two or more media servers?

Warm Regards,
Kalpesh Shah
