You can NOT share media between servers for writing purposes.
Each server is the owner of the media and no other server may write to its
media.
But, restores can be allowed use another media server's media.

I am trying to create two backup policies, each policy using a different
media server configured for sso. Both policies using the same volume pool. I
am keeping only 1 tape in this pool and starting the policies one by one to
ensure that both the Drive and tape is available. The first policy runs
successfull, but the second policy gives error 96.

Can I share a tape between two or more media servers?

Warm Regards,
Kalpesh Shah
