On way to force the NetBackup to use the same tape until full, =
is to
allow that one job can be realized of every time, this force the =
Netbackup
to use only one tape per time. This optimize the tape use but can leave =
the
performance well slower, mainly if ou have a lot of tape units.

Assunto: [Veritas-bu] alway ask new tape ?

I found out that a policy prefers to use a new volume which is in =
AVAILABLE
state, gotten from scratch volume pool, rather than the exisiting one
(ACTIVE, not FULL) in the policy's volume pool., though I've set the =
media
server to allow multiple retention per media.=20
Anyone can help, how to force backup to use existing volume (ACTIVE, not
FULL) in the policy's volume pool ?
