Solaris 2.6, 7, and 8 are supported for NB 3.4 (See the Release Notes for
3.4.) for both clients and servers.
Solaris 2.6, 7, 8, and 9 are supported for NB 4.5 (See the NetBackup 4.5
Release Notes for Unix and Windows.) for both clients and servers.
With Solaris 7, Sun stopped using the 2.x naming standard.
Solaris 2.6 is not supported in NB 5.0.

idea?
I would:
1. Upgrade the OS to 7 or 8.
2. Test everything.
3. Run for a while to make sure everything is working fine.
4. Then upgrade NetBackup to 4.5.
If I upgraded the OS to 7, I would repeat step 1 through 3 again when
everything is stable.

>I need to do it right the first time.
And of course, take precautions so you can roll back if any major problems
occur.
