Hi Folks,

My understanding is that once values are set in the Master server, any
backups that use BPSTART_TIMEOUTand BPEND_TIMEOUT will be using this ne=
w
setting. Is there a way tell to the Master server, for this client use=

1800, for other client use 3600, and etc. ?

Thanks,

Sung Y. Lee

I'm surprised that this hasn't been jumped on...

The timers for bpstart_notify & bpend_notify can be increased beyond th=
e
default 300 seconds using a "BPSTART_TIMEOUT =3D value" and "BPEND_TIME=
OUT =3D
value" entries in bp.conf on the master server. "value" is expressed in=

seconds.

"CALL"? Is that a DOS thing?

Hi all!

Does anybody know if you can set a time out value on the time that
NetBackup

waits till the bpstart script completes before it will fail the backup =
job?

I want to run a batch script from the bpstart script that might run for=

over

an hour.
And do you have to use the CALL statement within the bpstart file?

Thanks!
