[Veritas-bu] RMAN error

client?</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">If so, you need at least the following
items (They are in the Oracle Agent Administrator Guide</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">page 137)</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">You must have the file directory structure
on the new client set up exactly as it is</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">on the original client</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">You must initiate the restore from the
new client</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">You must have the oracle RMAN agent
installed on the new client.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">You need to make sure your environment
variables are set as defined in the maual.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">You need to be able to connect to the
recovery catalog from the new client, etc</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Best to check in the Veritas Netbackup
4.5 for oracle Sys Admin Guide P 137 ...</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">If you have already done all this, that
is good. &nbsp;You say you can't add the client to</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">the Netbackup policy be sure you have
the</font><font size=2 face="Courier"> /usr/openv/netbackup/ 
bp.conf</font><font size=2 face="sans-serif">
</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">file set up correctly. &nbsp;you need
the CLIENT_NAME = &lt;your client name&gt; and your master</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">&nbsp;and media servers defined at a
minimum.</font>

 I have 1 netbackup server (sf880) and 2 Oracle clients (sf880 and<br>
e450). Oracle 8.1.7.4 installed on both hosts.<br>
RMAN on client e450 makes full backup database on L25 connected to<br>
sf880. <br>
I try restore database on sf880 with RMAN but receive error message:<br>

IMHO, my mistake is wrong configure the Netbackup client: i can't add<br>
client to netbackup. But i have too small information.<br>
<br>
How can i locate error? Which utilities can i use for it?<br>
