Hi,

Add REQUIRED_INTERFACE to the bp.conf on the client to make sure the client
is going back to the master with the correct name. If it is then look into
the bprd log on the master. You will get a clear view as to what/how this
client is trying to do.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] RMAN error

  Hi all!
 I have 1 netbackup server (sf880) and 2 Oracle clients (sf880 and
e450). Oracle 8.1.7.4 installed on both hosts.
RMAN on client e450 makes full backup database on L25 connected to
sf880.
I try restore database on sf880 with RMAN but receive error message:

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure during compilation of command
RMAN-03013: command type: restore
RMAN-03007: retryable error occurred during execution of command: IRESTORE
RMAN-07004: unhandled exception during command execution on channel ch00
RMAN-10035: exception raised in RPC: ORA-19507: failed to retrieve
sequential file, handle="DB.INC0.KOST.s22432.p1_528941095", parms=""
ORA-27029: skgfrtrv: sbtrestore returned error
ORA-19511: Backup file not found.
RMAN-10031: ORA-19624 occurred during call to
DBMS_BACKUP_RESTORE.RESTOREBACKUPPIECE

IMHO, my mistake is wrong configure the Netbackup client: i can't add
client to netbackup. But i have too small information.

How can i locate error? Which utilities can i use for it?
