Hi folks

Don't know if this is relevant, but if the host OS is Solaris, check /etc/system
for the 'maxphys' tunable.

In our case this was defaulting to (I think) 128k per IO, which we increased to
256k to attempt to increase the throughput to tape.

It didn't seem to make a huge difference on throughput in our case (other than
halving the number of IOs and doubling their size), but didn't harm performance
either, so we left it in.

Cheers
Mike Thomson
