I am trying to set up Veritas Backup Exec in the following manner:
=20
=20
I have 2 networks:=20
=20
Network A is the Company Domain - 100 full duplex LAN.
=20
Network B is a 1000 full duplex backup LAN. (or at least I would like it =
to be)
=20
My Backup Exec 9 Server is multihomed with an Intel Pro1000MT dual port =
NIC which is connected to both network A and B. (different IP's of =
course)
=20
Backup Exec clients such as my File Server (300gb), Exchange Server =
(30gb), and my NAS Server (400gb) are multihomed (Intel Pro1000MT dual =
port) to both network Aand B (I would like those clients to back up over =
my NetGear Giga switch)
=20
The rest of my Backup Exec clients are connected only to network A =
(Company Domain).
=20
* All servers are running Windows 2000 in a Windows 2000 Active =
Directory environment. (* The Giga Switch is not connected to the =
network which hosts the Domain)=20
I want to configure Backup Exec 9 to only backup the multihomed clients =
over Network B and to backup the non multihomed clients all others over =
network A.
=20
=20
=20
=20
Thank you,
Shane Hagan
