I have a couple of questions, if possible. I was wondering if anyone has
experience with migrating an environment from a Veritas NBU 4.5
(Windows) to 5.0? We are currently running 4.5 FP4 and have four
independent master servers.
=20
We'd like to move to a single master and have the rest be media servers.
=20
I have a few questions:
=20
- Since all the other masters are changing to media servers, is there an
easy way to import the catalog from all these servers into the single
master? =20
- Would I be able to use "bprecover" on the new master and add the other
catalogs to this server, or would it overwrite the catalog everytime?
- Or should after I migrate to this configuration, just import all the
media?
- Has anyone done this method before and have instructions/tips on doing
this?
- Is this the optimal way to do this migration or is there an
alternative way to do this? =20
