We are constantly getting "not a tar formatted image" whilst trying to
perform an alternate client RMAN restore.
NB Server = Sun V480, NB 4.5 FP6, Solaris 9 [3 month old patch set], L180
NB Source Client = F12K Domain, NB 4.5 FP3, RMAN
NB Destination Client = F12K Domain, NB 4.5 FP6, RMAN
I understand that FP3 and FP6 are fully supportable and can run together as
long as the server is FP6 [Which it is].
I've seen lots of "not a tar formatted image" messages on
seer.support.veritas.com but these all releate to Windows not Solaris.
Anyone got any ideas, we are stumped so far.
