Also use the touch file # touch
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/CLEAN_IN_BACKGROUND

So the clean up will run even if you have a backup running.

We had the same problem and opened a call with Veritas. So to fix the
problem we run the following from cron a couple times an hour otherwise
we would run out of disk space the next time the backups ran . . .

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpimage -cleanup -allclients=20

Hope this helps.=20

I've got vault duplicating a disk storage unit to a set of tapes and=20
resetting the on-disk copy to an 8 hours expiration.=20

That part seems to be working OK. NB does not seem, however, to be
deleting=20
the on-disk copy after expiration like it should. This should be part
of=20
the core NB behavior and not related to vault doing the duplication.=20

Here's an example. The first FRAG is the first copy. You can see the
media=20
as my disk STU. The second FRAG entry is the second copy (copy num is
2nd=20
field) and you can see it on D04303. If I convert the copies'
expiration=20
time to something readable, you can see where the first copy should've=20
expired last Monday and been deleted. Yet, here it is.=20

Ideas?=20

This is v4.5 FP3 on Sol 8. The disk STU is a NetApp filer NFS mount.=20
