Hi
=20
I have logged a Priority One call with Veritas but thought that I might =
"bounce" this problem of everyone on this list.
=20
Environment:
=20
Master: Solaris 8. Veritas NetBackup 4.5 with FP6
Media: Windows 2000 with SP3. Veritas NetBackup 4.5 with FP6
Client: Windows 2000 with SP3. Veritas NEtBackup 4.5 with FP6
=20
Robot:
ACSLS Controlled StorageTek Nearline with 9940 tape drives. =
Communication to ACSLS via LMG Adapter and Gateway software due to =
firewalls.
=20
Description:
=20
This is a vnetd configuration. There is a firewall between the master =
server and each media server and 2 firewalls between each media server.
=20
Received a call to assist the customer with a restore of the client =
data. The restore is to go back to the same client using the same media =
server but is failing with error 25. =20
=20
Traced this error in the bpbrm log file:
=20
11:28:16.468 [2364.752] <16> bpbrm Exit: client restore EXIT STATUS 94: =
cannot position to correct image
=20
and traced a corresponding error in the bptm log file:
=20
<16> io_position_for_read: found wrong backup id - wbrbcol1_1076317810: =
expected pph_1081720913.
11:27:11.140 [2300.1344] <2> check_error_history: called from bptm line =
10153, EXIT_Status =3D 94
=20
Please note that the wbrbcol1 client is backed up using the wbiddb01 =
media server and the pph client is backed up using the scion_backup =
media server.
=20
We have run a media contents report on the tape and all the images are =
for clients starting with wb* but if we look at the image header for the =
pph backup it definitely indicates that the backup is not the selected =
tape. When we froze the tape we froze using -h scion_backup which is =
the incorrect media server.
=20
Has anybody seen anything like this before?
Regards
Fiona Greenhough
