Yeah, but doesn't vault automatically re-inject them after something like 30
minutes and then "lose" the tape (forcing a vmupdate of the library
inventory)?
The "vmchange" variant below ejects the tape to the CAP and the leaves it
for later pickup.

This is what vault will do. I copied the vmchange command to
a script I wrote to read in the tape list and eject 14 tapes
at a time (size of the CAP).
