Make mods to the available media script and put -M $MASTER on all of the
lines that make bp command request and -h $MASTER for all of the vm
commands that it calls.

See if that works for you.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Please HELP!!!!!

I have been tasked with querying our L700 storage device to determine
what
available volumes we have.
We are running Veritas NetBackup 4.5 on a Solaris 8 server. The problem
is,
I don't have root access
To the master backup server. I only have root access to the media
servers
at my location. Is there anything
I can do? The available_media script gives me the following output
because
I am not running the command from the master server.
"bash-2.03# available_media
media media robot robot robot side/ ret size status
ID type type # slot face level KBytes
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
DataStore pool

NetBackup pool

None pool

scratch pool

bash-2.03#

Please help!!!
