[Veritas-bu] secure remote install on Solaris client

The rsh to ssh conversion works fine. Also, though, if you want to save
this effort, you can tar up the /usr/openv/netbackup directory from a
similar client and move it to another.
Add the /etc/inetd.conf & /etc/services entries, thump your inetd process,
alter bp.conf for the client name and you're done.
Easy.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] secure remote install on Solaris client
Folks
I want to be able to do secure (i.e. not using rsh/.rshrc) remote
installs from a Solaris 8 Netbackup master to Solaris 9 clients. I even
want to avoid using the 'install_client ftp ....' utility.
Could only find a technote (264305) on the Veritas website with a
convoluted method of installing without a cdrom, but nothing on using
ssh or sftp.
Has anyone been able to use ssh/sftp or some other way to do secure
remote installs of Solaris 9 clients?
Thanks.
Marijan
