You can use the bparchive function and skip the script altogether.

bparchive (client-side run only so you'll have to write a batch job for =

the backup to tape worked successfully.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Windows post-processing script query

Hi,=20
My background is Unix and I'm struggling with trying to put together a =
post
backup script file for one of my windows clients.

The windows box runs a SAP backup utility which drops a directory (with =
an
automatically generated name) of backup files onto our SAN, and I then =
want
a post-processing script to delete the directory if the backup to tape
worked okay.

What has got me foxed is trying to use wildcards in a .bat file to =
handle
the deletion, as the ? single character wildcard I'm used to on Unix =
doesn't
seem to work on Windows 2000 server.

On Unix it would be dead easy to script the deletion of any directories =
with
6 character names, but I can't find a way to do it on Windows and I'd
appreciate any suggestions as to things I could consider. I browsed =
through
some of the stuff in the Windows Resource Kit, but only Perl looked of
interest, and I'm not allowed to install that :=AC(

Thanks for any advice or pointers.=20
