The only time we seem to experience an issue like this is when we're
attempting a disk to tape duplication OR if we are running an
Incrementials (vs. a full) on a data set of major size. Does it take
that long when you begin a full?

Thank you,

This is on a NBU4.5 w2k client/mediaserver. A large SAN-attached volume
with +/- 300 GB data on it takes about an hour before actually starting
to write to tape. In the meantime looking at job tracker, it looks like
it's "indexing" the volume or something. This is really lowering backup
performance plus we have a tapedrive just sitting there for an hour
every day. Anyone can explain this behaviour or better, have a solution?

Thanks,
