I apologize if this question has been answered on this excellent thread.
I believe the below is for Sol 9.
Which, if any, of the below settings can be applied to Linux (obviously
a different syntax command set and file location)
I've seen and have all the links I need to the "Veritas" tunning docs
on their WEB, however, I'm looking for someone that has been there done
that and can say under Linux 2.1 running as a dedicated Media Server;
here are setting's that give us the best performance.
There is a least someone ... no? If not , I'll invent the wheel and
pass on what I find out.
Thanks,
Scott

set msgsys:msginfo_msgmni=256
set msgsys:msginfo_msgssz=16
set msgsys:msginfo_msgtql=1024
set msgsys:msginfo_msgseg=8192
* Semaphores
set semsys:seminfo_semmap=64
set semsys:seminfo_semmni=1024
set semsys:seminfo_semmns=1024
set semsys:seminfo_semmnu=1024
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=300
set semsys:seminfo_semopm=32
set semsys:seminfo_semume=64
* Shared memory
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=65535

* END NetBackup recommended minimum settings
some params are no longer valid for sol9... im quite interested in
what others have set for FC lto2 drives for NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS and
SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS.
i also do some tweaks with /dev/udp and /dev/tcp (ie, changing window
sizes etc..)
aaarrrggghhh!!!!
