The easiest way although it may take time is to read the tapes in with =
the bpimport command.=20

There is an option on the guis somewhere although im not sure where on =
4.5 ( as i have only just upgraded myself from 3.2 )
but command line you would do this :-

bpimport -create_db_info -id <media_id> -L /tmp/bpimport1.ls do for =
each tape

This creates the image information for each client. To then import the =
files on the tapes into the databases do

bpimport -l -L /tmp/bpimport.ls -client <client>

Hope this helps

  Hi,

  =20

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to import 3.4.1 media into a =
Veritas Netbackup 4 or 5 environments?

  =20

We have a bunch of tapes that were all used to backup a Solaris box =
using Netbackup 3.4.1. We have no media for 3.4.1 and need to rebuild =
the information stored the tapes.

  =20

Has anyone managed to do this??

  =20

  Are the database types compatible?

  =20

  Cheers,

  =20

  Nick
