I think this should be simple. Correct me if I am wrong

 

Tar the image back in and since it was on 3.41you are using ASCII
catalogs and not binary like 4 or 5.

So once the image is back, run a 

Cat_convert a2b (whatever the proper flags are)

 

You SHOULD NEVER upgrade an environment without considering your options
for backwards compatibility

Hi,

 

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to import 3.4.1 media into a
Veritas Netbackup 4 or 5 environments?

 

We have a bunch of tapes that were all used to backup a Solaris box
using Netbackup 3.4.1. We have no media for 3.4.1 and need to rebuild
the information stored the tapes.

 

Has anyone managed to do this??

 

Are the database types compatible?
