"bpexpdate -backupid" has always worked fine for me. Sometimes it takes a
while to have the tapes become deassigned afterwards, though. You can force
the deassignment with:

"bpexpdate -deassignempty -force"

-M

I have a bunch of infinite images that I no longer need. What is the best
was to expire them? I have heard there are problems using "bpexpdate
-backupid" and it not expiring the tapes even after all the images were
expired? Is using "bpexpdate -recalculate " changing the retention level and
letting the system expire them better? Or does someone have a better
solution?
