We're being asked to move away from Sun media servers
towards Intel boxes running Linux (probably Red Hat
Enterprise). We need some guidance about the number
of tape drives that can driven per media server. We
currently run 12 AIT-3 drives each from our V-880s.
If you are using Intel-based media servers, can you
share your 'rules of thumb' on sizing?
