[Veritas-bu] netbackups commands using -ev

After recently upgrading to NBU 4.5, I've noticed that certain commands
(bpmedialist, bpexpdate, etc) show" -m media_id" in the command help,
(bpmedialist -h) whereas the man page shows "-ev media_id."  After a
couple tests , it appears they both work.  Does anyone know if I will
encounter troubles if I don't update scripts using these commands and
options?
