Has any one seen this scenario before.

I run netbackup 4.5 MP6 on Solaris 8 using a L25 tape unit attached with =
an LTO tape drive and LTO tapes.

Ok
=20
Currently i have 4 Solaris 8 UNIX clients 1 Linux client and 2 windows =
clients.

Now,=20

the UNIX clients backup ok, but when the backup server backs itself up =
as client it always fails with media write error. 84.
Also the Linux client fails with media write error 84 and the windows =
clients sometimes work and sometimes give 84.
Strange thing is the other UNIX clients seem to give status 0.

Looking in bptm logs I see errors of "drive on index 0, I/O error"

This seems to happen and then abort backup with media error 84.
I tried using a different tape and same thing.

Sometimes it gives storage unit 219 not available and i saw that NBU =
downed the drive after 3 errors.

Any help at all?

Dave
