You need to have bpcd in the /etc/services & /etc/inetd.conf file.  HUP the
inetd daemon to activate.  A "netstat -a | grep bpcd" should show bpcd as
"Listening".

I have checked the entries in both /etc/hosts and
bp.conf(its pointing to right server. Even I can ping
to each other using their hostnames.

Is there any service to be restarted on netbackup
client. What are the netbackup daemons on solaris
client.
