Alec,
 
We are also running the latest Solaris 8 cluster patch - we don't have any
problems with the java gui (although I recommend the admin console, much
cleaner).  But if the vlan change caused a problem I'd be surprised that
you'd get any response from the gui.  This sounds a lot like a java issue.

Last night we did 2 things to our master server (solaris 8, NB 4.5, mp4)
 
changed the IP address to a new VLAN
 
added sun's latest solaris 8 cluster patch.
 
after making both changes, jnbSA only gets as far as putting up about half
the login screen, and then hangs.  
 
I wish we had checked it in between the two changes so I know which one did
it.
 
Has anyone else had this problem?  Perhaps there is a java patch that screws
up the configuration somehow....
