For Exchange 2000 your directive should be:

Microsoft Information Store:\First Storage Group

Per Veritas Recommended Exchange Setup. Also this is how we efficiently
backup our Exchange 2000 servers.

One policy for Exchange Mailboxes with directive: Microsoft Exchange
Mailboxes:\
One policy for Exchange with directives: Microsoft Exchange
Server:\Information Store\
                                                            Microsoft
Exchange Server:\Directory\

One Policy for the clients backup with directive: ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES

Veritas recommends splitting it up.

Hope this helps,
K

No. I have an 'ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES' policy for that portion of the systems. I
have exclusions for the exchange directories that we don't want. As far as
I am aware you cannot combine a database (exchange, sql, oracle, etc...)
with a standard backup.

        Hi Folks.

Do any of you backup the System_State for your exchange servers. If
so, are you utilizing the same policy to backup you Information Store?
