Hello

Here is the list we use in situations like this:

Check the system log for SCSI unload errors, this will indicate a connection 
problem. 

Check driver and driver level for robot and drives.

Check firmware and firmware level for robot and drives

Be aware of that on windows you need the Veritas Tape Device driver
