Hi William,

All the drives are connected to the FC230 card which is the fibre router
card. The frist FC230 connected to robotic and two drives, the second
connected to another 6 drives and the third connected to other 8 drives. We
have two HBA JNI from the backup server, the first HBA to the first & second
FC230, the second HBA to the third FC230. All are via a fibre switch which
is in fabric mode, zonning go by HBA port numbers.

cheers...
Robert

You don't say how the drives are connected to the switch, but:

connect to tldcd on sgs15i-001: Cannot assign requested address (126)

May mean that you have something in FC-AL mode that is using soft
addressing. You must have something that is routing between the SCSI
tape drive and the FC switch - maybe you have embedded routers in the
P7000? In which case I suggest you check those, as they should be set up
to do all your LUN masking or 'selective storage presentation' as Compaq
say. They may also have different FC port settings to check, for example
to enable hard addressing.
