Well, responding to my own posting again.

I played with this and the value of a zero-file-count image is that it's a
placeholder to keep that filesystem (or wild-card match in my case) from
being backed up again.

I deleted all zero-file-count images for the past week and those backups
whose windows were still open automatically restarted, backed up nothing but
a header, and quit again.

So - don't delete them.

I've got a set of schedules that are backed-up using a set of wildcards.
This results in a bunch of images on tape, all 32K in size (header, I guess)
that have zero reported file counts.

Is there any value in keeping these of can I delete them to simplify my
catalog & reduce tape usage (albeit, not by much)?
