Hi,

We are running 4*9840B and 1*9840A within the same tape library.

We have had no errors or problems in writing to tapes on both drives and
reading from both. This automatically assumes
that a single tape may be used in either drives during one nights backup.
The only difference is that
the 9840A is slightly slower than the 9840B

Can anyone confirm that it is ok to read a tape that
was written in a StorageTek 9840B drive with a 9840A
drive? And if so, is there any problems with it?
