It looks like you may have had a client or media server called moe-bkup at
one time. You may have images that still exist for that client.

Hi all, when I run the following command, bpexpdate -deassignempty -host
homer-bkup (Media) -M homer-bkup (also the Master Server Probably a little
redundant, but put it in anyway). I get a can't update media list, host
unreachable error. Specifically the log shows the following error...

13:29:44.108 [4765] <2> bpexpdate: INITIATING: NetBackup 4.5FP_3GA created:
2002121901
13:29:44.108 [4765] <2> logparams: -deassignempty -host homer-bkup -M
homer-bkup

13:33:07.399 [4765] <16> compare_list_to_fragments: Host moe-bkup not found
for at least one fragment, -deassignempty operation terminated
13:33:07.421 [4765] <16> check_for_empty_media: Could not update media list,
host is unreachable
13:33:07.423 [4765] <16> bpexpdate: host is unreachable
13:33:07.423 [4765] <2> bpexpdate: EXIT status = 47

Any ideas as to why this is? Someone mentioned the possibility of
improperly decommissioning a media server, but moe-bkup has been a media
server for several months and has not undergone any interface changes such
as a name change or an IP change.

I have checked DNS, name resolutions, bp.conf, /etc/hosts and vm.conf files
and everything appears to be okay, and all of our normal backups on moe-bkup
appear to be working fine.

Thanks,
Taylor
