That was it exactly. I have moved the script over to the media server and
life is good. Thanks!

Andrew-

are you writing the catalog backup using a media server other than
your master server?

if so, then bpbackupdb (and the dbbackup_notify script) is actually
being called on that media server.

if not, then I'd suggest creating a verbose admin log
(/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/admin) to look for further clues as to
what bpbackupdb is doing.

Oh and -U so you can read it easily.

Look for something like performing database backup...

It seems that my dbbackup_notify script is not getting called when
catalog backups complete. It's set to send an email when the jobs
complete. I can run the script from a command-line without any
errors and the email's come through fine, but nothing happens when
the catalog backups finish.

The script's permissions are the same as my other notify scripts
which work fine - world-wide read and execute.

I'm running NBU 4.5 FP3 on a Linux 7.3 Master server.

Any ideas?

Andrew
