I was asked to look into the prospect of converting our Linux Legato
backup server to a Veritas Netbackup server.

2 things came to mind up front.

1) Can Veritas import the indexes, etc from Legato and use use the
information or will I have to rescan all my tapes, etc.

2) Under legato I use a number of NFS Disk servers to provide me with
about 14TB of ONSITE backup storage and then clone fulls to tape for
OFFSITE. Can Veritas use the "FILE" devices and directories as media
for onsite backups that can then be deleted in 2 months?

Thanks,
  Robert
