We use the Netbackup Oracle agent to backup directly to tape via RMAN.
Will this work for you. I believe that Veritas has agents for almost all=20
major databases.

Hi All
=20
We've got a client that uses SAP=5FDB. We setup Netbackup (4.5=5F2) to back=
up=20
the data. The data gets staged to disk and then to tape, as there is no=20
Netbackup agent that we can use to backup directly to tape. This work fine =

but the backup takes long to complete.
=20
The client installed Legato to compare. Legato can backup straight to=20
tape. The back on Legato takes 1 hour compared to 3 hours on Netbackup. Is =

there any other way that we can setup Netbackup to compete with Lergato?
