This may seem like an odd request but... Anyone know of a script that
would sort the tapes in my libraries alphanumerically? We have several
P3000 libraries and we periodically go and pull 50-75+ tapes out of each
of them to swap for fresh tapes. Because it is so many tapes, it is
inefficient to use the load port to do them 12 at a time, so instead we
open the doors to the library.

Tapes always end up out of sequence because they fill up at different
rates and get pulled out of the library out of sequence. So, we end up
doing this long hunt & peck routine trying to locate each of these
tapes.
=20
It would be really helpful if I could run a script that would reorder
the tapes in the library sequentially. This would speed up our tape
swaps tremendously.
=20
Anyone out there already tried to do this?

By the way, I'm running NBU 3.4.1
