Windows 2000 server (Master) with 4.5 datacenter MP4 patch level
Exchange is a Media Server, Windows 2000 with 4.5 datacenter media server
with MP4 and exchange database agent loaded.
Problem:
Exchange 2000 on AD domain. We have a DR server on its own AD domain.
We are trying to do a restore of the Information Store on the DR Server and
are receiving error 5 and 25 (Socket Create Failure).
But, we CAN restore files form the C drive of the exchange server to the DR
Server.
We just went from exchange 5.5 to 2000 and can not move mail boxes (Users)
to them until we can resolve this issue.
Microsoft white paper say you have to do this separate AD domain setup, and
we did it by the paper, i.e. dismount store, and set to allow overwrite with
restore.
Veritas support page don't help any at all.
On the Policy of the exchange boxes on the files tab I have selected
"Microsoft Information Store:\" the 2000 default.
We have replicated the public folders to the new 2000 exchange server, and
move 5 mail boxes to them.
They backup great, just cant restore to DR as a proxy server ???
Trying to connect from the DR server fail it wont open file "can not create
Socket"
