Subject: [Veritas-bu] SDLT tape maximum tape mounts

The documentation on my SuperDLT tapes (FUJIFILM) says they are good for 
1,000,000 head passes.  Looking at the catalog tapes, they have 300 mounts a 
piece.  I have no idea what constitutes a head pass.  At what point do I swap 
out the catalog backup tapes?  Thanks.
