Thanks in advance for any comments. I've added a second Gb NIC card to
an existing media server in the attempt to backup clients on a newly
created VLAN. I've assigned an IP address to the second NIC in the
range available in this VLAN. I'm getting an error code 54 (timeout
connecting to client) when attempting to backup a client on this VLAN.
Backing up clients for the initial setup (prior to adding the second Gb
NIC interface) still works fine. I'm thinking now that because the BPCD
process on the Solaris client can't communicate with the master server
which is not on this VLAN, this is the reason for the failure. So, in
effect this will not work unless the master can also communicate on this
VLAN. Any thoughts? Thanks,Scott Jacobson
