So we are looking to bare metal restore our Solaris e450 Server as part of =

our DR project.

We currently our production database server is the same server as our=20
Netbackup Server.

This might change it might not.

Option 1) BMR/Netbackup/DB server on one box
Option 2) BMR/Netbackup on it's own box. DB server on it's own box.

We are planing to only have a single Solaris server at our hotsite(2500KM=20
away).

I have been digging into the BMR docs and haven't really found an answer=20
to the following question.

How many Solaris boxes do i need at the hotsite? Can i get away with a=20
single Solaris box. IE: boot the BMR from cd and restore the server onto=20
itself or do i need a separate BMR box?

Does the BMR box have to be on a Solaris box or can i boot a Solaris box=20
with a windows BMR server?

Thanks,
