All,
I have an SSO environment with Exchange servers as media servers (9940B
Tape Drivers Fiber attached), and a Solaris 2.6 as the master.
As I am performaning restores, I see an error message like this in the
activity monitor:
6/12/2003 11:38:04 AM - positioned; position time: 00:00:00
6/12/2003 11:38:52 AM - positioning SN0026 to file 11
6/12/2003 11:38:52 AM - positioned; position time: 00:00:00
6/12/2003 11:39:13 AM - Error bpbrm(pid=380) from client emcsrv01: TAR -
Restoring Exchange 2000 ESE object I:\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA\SG3DB2.edb
6/12/2003 11:41:10 AM - positioning SN0026 to file 12
6/12/2003 11:41:10 AM - positioned; position time: 00:00:00
6/12/2003 11:44:35 AM - positioning SN0026 to file 13
6/12/2003 11:44:35 AM - positioned; position time: 00:00:00
And this causes the performance the restore to drop significantly (from
50 MB/sec to about 18 MB/sec)
just wondering if anyone on hte list has seen this type of behavior
before.
Kevin
