I am backing up an HP-UX server using NBU 4.5 running on a Win2k server.
The network is 1000 switched. But the Unix server has a 100mb card
installed. I also have an MS- Exchange 2k server with a 1000 nic
installed.
I just ran a backup of the HP-UX and the backup rate was 4549 KB, 36gig
2hr 25min
My Exchange servers rate is 15,086KB, 150gig 3hrs flat.
Before I tell the UNIX guys to upgrade the card on the UNIX box, are
there any tweaks that can be made to to improve throughput on the UNIX
to nt platform.
