sorry, but wat does empty_ie does? formats data out of tape? will this command 
give the tapes a slot no. to which i can move them?

You can do this with the vmupdate command:

vmupdate -rn <robnum> -rt <robtype> -rh <robhost> \
    -empty_ie -use_barcode_rules \

vmupdate -rn <robnum> -rt <robtype> -rh <robhost> \
    -empty_map -use_barcode_rules \

what do i need to do to move tapes from CAP to slots? (except m i<n> s<n>)
coz, the vmquery -m <ev> does not show the slot no. on the tape details.
Also, robot type is: "NONE - Not Robotic (0)" 

it is stk lib & tapes r in CAP.
