Anyone out there using the Netware Media Server option with NBU 4.5 (FP3)?
We have an environment with 6 Netware 6.0 servers each with their own FC
attached Seagate LTO1 drive. Everything works, but we are getting very poor
performance (only about 4-6 MB/s). I've been working with Veritas support,
they suggested several changes to tune the NetWare server, but none of them
have helped. I believe the default block size is 32k. Raising the block size
could make a big difference. Does anyone know how to change it? The servers
have 2x 2GHz processors and 2.5 GB of ram, so I don't see any reason why
they can't at least push the drives at native speed (10-12 MB/s). Any help
is greatly appreciated.
