If the master server is a Unix box, place the following line the bp.conf
file:

FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER bad_server good_server

Then recycle the NetBackup daemons. From now on, any backups that were
originally made on the bad server will mount be restored using the good
server.

I'm having 3 media server in my organization and for some technical reasons,
one of them is unavailable.
I'm trying to do a restore (the backup was done using that faulty media
server) and NetBackup keeps trying to mount the tape using that faulty media
server. I tried to remove the tape drives from that media server control,
remove all the drives definitions, stop NetBackup on that server, ...
nothing helped.
Does that mean that I cannot do a restore if the media server that did the
backup is not available?
That's pretty stupid.
Anyway, please let me know if there is a way to get this done.
thanks
Cosmin
