Mark,

 <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"
/>

Normally, you would have one hostname for the master/catalog server and used
the REQUIRED_INTERFACE in your bp.conf to direct traffic to the NIC you
want.

Ken

Hello, I have been under the impression the Netbackup can perform backup of
data using multiple NICs. I have received instructions to configure this
and they seem uncomplicated.

We have since been told that such a configuration is not supported by
Veritas! Can you tell me if you know if this is true.
Also, is it possible to use multiple NICs in my netbackup backup
environment.

Configuration will be:
Master server with two NICs, both configured in DNS.
ClientA in subnet 1 configured to use NIC1
ClientB in subnet 2 configured to use NIC2

Host file entries will be configured for each client and master server.
bp.conf file on each client will specify server=DNSnic1 OR server=DNSnic2

Regards, Mark
