I'm assuming that would have to be a no.

NDMP is not a file format.  The idea is that the NDMP client can stick
the data in the stream in any format.  The NDMP server is only
responsible for storage and scheduling of that data.  (I guess DAR
affects that statement in some way...)

For a netbackup client to restore the data, you'd have to guarantee that
it is in a netbackup format.
