A trick to make it save through the link is to change the backup path from
/usr/openv/netbackup/db to /usr/openv/netbackup/db/.  Tar should read
through the link on this form.

I tried to move /usr/openv/netbackup/db to another location including
the symlink thing, and the result was that the Veritas DB Backup
failed. It only saves the symlink but not the db at the new location.

So you might have to add the new location also the the DB
Backup-Filelist (don't now if that works), or (that's my solution)
move the whole /usr/openv to the new location and set the link
/server/openv -> /usr/openv 

that way it works without a problem.
