If you have a space in different file system, you can move it there.

stop netbackup

#mkdir new_directory
#mv /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images/* new_directory
#rm -r /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images
#ln -s new_directory /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images

Start netbackup

Then add the new directory to your db backup list.

/usr/openv/netbackup/db/image is the core of the NetBackup catalog.  You
should not manually remove anything from their.  Secondly, your catalog
should not be on your root file system.  If you want to try and reduce the
size of your catalog you can change the "compress catalog after" setting
under NetBackup Configuration.  You can also reduce the retention level of
your backups.  But, I highly recommend moving your catalog off the root file
system first.

I get my file system " /"  of my backup server full,
because of /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images that grows
so fast and i don't no if it is safe to remove
something from it.
  your advices will be appreciated

NB: i'm using netbackup3.4, sun solaris 2.6
